White Swallow Southern Cross - Preloved - 2003
Very good to excellent condition. Hand crafted by Alan Funk of South Australia. (This is the model one higher than the Diamond Special. Retail price = $2950) One-piece maple neck is very slim, front to back with geometric mother of pearl inlays. Spikes at 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th frets. Bound fingerboard and resonator. Southern Cross pattern on headstock. Laser cut eagle pattern stainless steel flange. Chrome plated engraved armrest. White Swallow 'Tone-tube' tone ring gives tone and volume without heaps of weight. The rim is block construction adding to the strength and tone. White Swallow stainless steel tailpiece. Standard 11" Five Star head. Resonator shows some grazes and dints otherwise in very good condition and banjo sounds nicely played-in.
Includes Tweed finish hard case in ex cond. (Case cubby contains Kayser banjo capo, cleaning cloth, set of 5-star strings, quality mute, bracket tension tool and chord book worth additional $90.) Great banjo, great value! On consignment $2290.
