Don Morrison Guitar - Pre-Loved C1990

A non-resonator Mini-Jumbo from Don Morrison, South Australia, of world-wide resonator guitar making fame.

This guitar has Fishman under-saddle pick-up and would appeal to slide guitar and acoustic pickers in particular. At present it is set up with heavy bronze-wound strings and action is a little high - owner has set up for slide blues.
A lighter string guage and an inexpensive tweak on the action would give a new owner an easy-play hallmark Australian guitar with ballsy bass, gutsy midrange and plenty of sweet sustain in the high notes. Amplified, it rocks!
Solid triple A grade Sitka Spruce top with herringbone inlay on soundhole. Back and sides of old growth Victorian Blackwood. Neck is blonde Queensland Maple with mulga fretboard and a desert oak headstock. This has all Australian woods except for the soundboard. Gold plated machineheads. Bone nut and bridge saddle with inlaid string buttons. Low gloss finish. A few pick marks in top but otherwise very sound and no fretwear. Fingerboard and neck in spanking condition.
